The Xcellerate IT assessment consists of a detailed review of business operations and delivers a set of recommendations. The system assessment highlights areas that may be non-compliant or operating in a manner that is inconsistent with your operational strategy. Project scoping workshops are held to fully understand your business requirements, discuss options and ideas, challenge the status-quo and jointly come up with an agreed solution to achieve your goals. The outcome of the scoping exercise will be a detailed Customer Solution Description Document that will include the following:
Detailed project scope
Detailed implementation plan
Infrastructure requirements
Training requirements
This is based on best practices as detailed by the Project Management Institute (www.pmi.org) and has been proven to be effective in delivering projects on schedule, with less risk. A graphic representation is shown at right:below:
The final document produced is a Customer Solution Description (CSD), specific to exactly what and how the system will look like and operate. If tasks can be combined to shorten the timeline, this is determined during this phase. This document is approved by user management and completes the Initiate Phase.
