Accounts Payable (AP) exists largely in a paper-based world, though the tides are slowly changing. Enterprises are seeking ways to drive down volumes of incoming paper invoices and to migrate from traditional check payments to faster electronic alternatives.
This study, based on the responses of 116 professionals gathered in July and August of 2011, examines the best practices of high-performing organizations to see what aspects of invoice receipt, approval processing, payment, and audit serve to differentiate them from their lower-performing counterparts.
